About the Chef

My mother has been my greatest inspiration for cooking and baking. From the time when I was little I can remember waking up in the morning to the smell of fresh baked cinnamon rolls or bread coming out of the oven. Then when I was in grade school, my mother bought a small delicatessen and turned it into a thriving restaurant where only the freshest and quality foods were served. With my father’s French Canadian heritage, La Petite Deli seemed like a fitting name for my mother’s new business venture where we focused on homemade soups, salads and desserts.

I worked at La Petite Deli all throughout high school and college and managed the business for a short time after graduating from college. During this time we also ran a local catering business. We would often cater company parties, dinners and picnics; weddings; golf extravaganzas; and other special events.

I didn’t realize how much I loved cooking, however, until I graduated from college with a business degree and embarked on a career in marketing and advertising. I would often spend my weekends in the kitchen cooking dinners for my family and baking up delectable desserts. I also started taking cooking classes with my mother and have continued to take them for the past 15 years.

Someone once told me "do what you love and love what you do." Cooking is what I love and what I love to do. After realizing this passion, La Petite Cuisine, LLC (The Little Kitchen) was created. I look forward to cooking for you and your family or making your next event a smashing success!
